Our Story.
2008 — European Shuffleboard
Our founding fathers Geir, Jarle and Frøde go to America and come back with a souvenir rarely seen on this continent since its roots in 16th Century England: The Shuffleboard. Their project aligns UK History, US Popularity and Norwegian Ingenuity, titled: European Shuffleboard.
2013 — Play the Curve
To make the game more accessible for the fresh European market, we start to curve our playing surfaces.
2014 — Going Global!
2014–16: The Norsemen Slide South. We begin to set up 'boards in Sweden, Germany, and the UK.
2018 — The SHUFL. Brand
A streamlined game needs the right name. 'SHUFL.' is born, and the brand expands into Switzerland and Denmark.
2018 — First Oche Opens
Back in Oslo, Norway, our first venue opens using today's FLYBY Darts technology.
2019 — SHUFL Down Under
We SHUFL down to Australia, proving that Earth isn't flat… It has a Curve.
2021 — Oche goes Global
We open darts-and-dining venues in Amsterdam, Brisbane, Gothenburg. FLYBY's predecessor, Modern Darts, becomes the first B2B darts technology in the Nordics.
2021 — SHUFL. Tech Prototypes
The first models of the shuffleboard technology are tested in Oslo.
2022 — FLYBY Darts Launch
FLYBY Darts are ready to soar, as we widen our target to business-to-business partnerships worldwide.
2022 — SHUFL: the Venue
Our first shuffleboard venue opens its doors in Oslo, to mark the launch of our revolutionary SHUFL. Tech. Another 3 Oche venues: London, Singapore and Melbourne.
2022 — The SGG
All our brands band together to form The Social Gaming Group.
2023 — Franchising
We open our first franchise Oche venues in Dubai and later Reykjavik. SHUFL and FLYBY are by now in Spain, France, Poland and South Africa.
The Future
We will continue to honour organic, original games. The concepts are untouchable but we can expand on them with technology. How, and where, can our versatile detection technology be used next?
